“Cardiac and Respiratory Failure”
DIBS Education is currently offering a one day seminar on “Cardiac and respiratory Failure”
GOAL of this Training – During this day we revisit the basics of Cardiac anatomy and Physiology, and explore the relevance for this knowledge at the bedside. This training aims to explain the causes and presentation of people with cardiac or respiratory failure and the nursing management of both acute and chronic issues. Management goals of the chronic illnesses are identified. This day will give both knowledge and confidence in the initial nursing management of acutely deteriorating patients, and strategies to prevent readmission rates.

Presenter
Liana Vandervelden will be presenting “Cardiac and Respiratory Failure”. We invite you to join us as we discuss how the latest research is impacting the care we provide to patients at the bedside while also obtaining your Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Hours. This training aims to encourage the participants to better identify potential and actual risk of deterioration of this Patient group.
The basics of assessment and maintenance of cardiac output and oxygenation are stressed throughout the program.
Liana has years of experience in rural centres, and is very aware of the challenges that face clinicians in more remote areas. This program therefore is very adaptable for participants from country areas.
